Our client is seeking a Python Developer with a Data Science background for a full time position in NYC's Financial District. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with Python, C#, and a high degree of analytical ability as well as a talent for inventive problem-solving. This person will need to work well with business users and technical teammates and acquire new skills and understanding of unfamiliar home grown systems and business processes quickly.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of Python, C#, data modeling, SQL experience
  • Experience in the financial sector (fixed income/accounting/exposure to Bloomberg data or other 3rd party financial data platforms)
  • SQLServer, SSRS, , SOAP / REST / JSON, Visual Studio, .NET
  • Windows, C#, XML / XSL, HTML / CSS / JavaScript
  • Agile development
  • Must be systems-oriented, enjoy learning new tools and products, and be a self-motivated learner
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners, from senior business managers as well as on/offshore service providers
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; strong Excel and Word skills required

Bonus: If you have experience with cloud environments such as Azure and any data tools/big data platforms
